This Specialty Coffee comes from Simalungun, from the Purba region in northern Sumatra, Indonesia.
Here is the Lisa & Leo’s Organic Coffee, a family-run business. The owners have concentrated their efforts in the past years by starting an organic coffee farm, accompanied by a wet mill, an ECO Tourism Farm Stay Lodge and a training center on coffee transformation.
All their coffees – Arabica varieties – are organically grown in higher altitudes from 1400 to 1500 meters, while all cherries are grown in Simalungun. From the Typica harvest, the extraordinary engineer Leo created this exceptional limited edition using an expert know-how of the fermentation process of fully washed Arabica Nira yeast. To say the least, a job of love.
The result is a Specialty Coffee with a sweet taste of toffee, with a crisp acidity of red apple and the sweetness of the malt with a finish of almond and vanilla nougat. The creamy sensation on the palate is “creme brule” in nature.
Sumatra Nyra, from the Sca Cupping Score of 90.75, is a specialty coffee that it gets the maximum filter yield with methods V60 and Bravo Brewer.
